Elizabeth " Bess" Throckmorton

 I am directly related to Elizabeth " Bess" Throckmorton on my Dads Grandmothers side , she was the mistress of Sir Walter Raleigh , when finally the powers that be had enough of Raleigh they cut his head off , Elizabeth keapt his head and had it embalmed so it could be buried with her

they then sent me this pic when they got home to Stuttgart 
To add another tenuous link i have contacted the NHL team the Carolina Hurricanes who are based in Raleigh , Carolina and who used to be the Hartford Whalers who where based in Connecticut where my great uncle lived  , so i have informed them of all of this and have now chosen to support the Hurricanes .... GO CANES!........ supporting a sport team as a art is very important to you all .......
